Formula
Siding Area = Total Wall Area - Window Area - Door Area
Material Cost = (Siding Area × Material Cost/sq ft × 1.10) + Underlayment + Trim + Accessories
Total Cost = Material Cost + Installation + Removal + Permits
Example: 2,000 sq ft wall area, vinyl siding, 100 sq ft windows, 50 sq ft doors, with installation
Step 1: Siding area = 2,000 - 100 - 50 = 1,850 sq ft
Step 2: Siding material = 1,850 × $3.50 × 1.10 = $7,123
Step 3: Underlayment = 1,850 × $0.50 = $925
Step 4: Trim + Accessories = $1,500
Step 5: Material total = $7,123 + $925 + $1,500 = $9,548
Step 6: Installation = 1,850 × $4 = $7,400
Step 7: Removal = 1,850 × $1.50 = $2,775
Step 8: Permits = $200
Step 9: Total = $9,548 + $7,400 + $2,775 + $200 = $19,923
Step 10: Cost per sq ft = $19,923 / 1,850 = $10.76/sq ft
