kVA to Amperage
I = S/(V) or I = S/(√3 V)
How to Use This Calculator
Select phase type, enter kVA and line voltage, then calculate current in amperes.
Formula
I_single = (kVA × 1000) / V
I_three = (kVA × 1000) / (√3 × V)
Frequently Asked Questions
Does power factor matter?
This uses apparent power (kVA), which already includes power factor. For real power (kW), use kW and PF to find kVA first: kVA = kW / PF.
